Future Iterations and Reflection
Feedback
Peer feedback revealed consistent themes around strong narrative progression and engaging visual storytelling, particularly transitions between surveillance, power loss, and media control. However, users noted minor confusion in navigation cues and pacing, suggesting a need for clearer guidance and more consistent interaction feedback. This highlights a tension between conceptual abstraction and usability. Strengths include a cohesive narrative and accessible communication of complex issues, while weaknesses lie in moments of ambiguity and limited interactivity. Future iterations would refine interaction clarity, introduce audio and haptic feedback, improve accessibility (e.g. text contrast and pacing), and explore more responsive, user-driven navigation.
Reflection and Future Iterations
The project successfully communicates complex ideas through a cohesive narrative and visual approach, balancing abstraction with context. However, there are areas where clarity and interaction could be strengthened. At times, the conceptual focus limits usability, indicating a need for more intuitive navigation and feedback systems. In future iterations, I would refine interaction design, introduce audio elements to enhance immersion, and improve accessibility through clearer text hierarchy and pacing. I would also explore more responsive, user-led navigation, aligning with Garrett’s (2011) emphasis on structured user experience design and McCloud’s (1993) concept of visual storytelling to strengthen engagement while maintaining conceptual integrity. I overall believe the awareness of how conflict is impacting technology was clear and it was done in a visually interesting way, to educate the user.
